The Secret to Posting in Facebook and Twitter

11 May

Ah Facebook and Twitter – everybody’s favorite websites to post and share status messages, pictures, videos, and whatnot. What businesses did not know is that there is a time within the day that there will be a spike of visitors within these sites.

In a recent article from mashable.com entitled, “The Best and Worst Times to Share on Facebook, Twitter,” they have stated that:

Link shortening and tracking service bit.ly has released new data on the best and worst times to share links on popular social networks, from Facebook and Twitter to blogging site Tumblr.

The company revealed that posting links to Twitter between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET (or 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT) will give you the highest click rank, especially on days earlier in the week. Meanwhile, sending a tweet with a link after 8:00 p.m. should be avoided — as should posting links after 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.

In short, posting in these times will allow maximum acquisition of business leads and an even higher chance of setting sales appointments.

Posting to these social networking sites needs content, and to get good content you need skilled writers. Training more of your workforce to become writers and generate leads may be too much of a hassle for you.

A great solution to this dilemma is outsourcing to call centers for their lead generation and appointment setting expertise. This way, you let your salespeople focus on what they do best, online marketing and closing sales while you let the professional lead generation advertising firm take care of cold calling your prospects.
